Margaret S. Benser's Obituary
Margaret S. Benser, age 99, of North Ridgeville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2026.
Margaret was born on June 10, 1926, to the late Nellie and Joseph Shroka. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose kindness, creativity, and love touched many lives.
In 1950, Margaret married the love of her life, William Benser, and together they shared many happy years until his passing in 2006. Their marriage was marked by companionship, travel, and deep love for their family.
Margaret is survived by her loving children, William (Dawn) Benser Jr., Terry Buckendahl, and Bonnie (Stephen) Norris; her cherished grandchildren, William III, Joseph, Michael (Brandi), Krys (Nicole), Hana (Mark), Steven (Alison), and Megan (Quinton); and nine beloved great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and pride.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Margaret was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph.
Margaret embraced life with curiosity and creativity. She enjoyed sewing, flower gardening, and tole painting, and was an avid reader who looked forward to attending her book club. She was a proud member of the Red Hat Society and never missed her Wednesday canasta games. Traveling with her husband was one of her greatest pleasures, especially their winter months spent in Florida, creating memories that lasted a lifetime.
Margaret will be remembered for her warm spirit, gentle wisdom, and the love she shared so freely with her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories and a family forever grateful to have loved her.
Memorial Mass will be held at St Peters Catholic Church, 35777 Center Ridge Rd, North Ridgeville, Ohio 44039 on Monday, May 4, 2026 at 10:00 a.m.
She will be laid to rest privately at a later date at Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmsted, Ohio.
