Margaret D. Watson's Obituary
Margaret D. Watson, daughter of the late William S. and Florence H. Dowdy, and wife for sixty-six years of the late Dr. Robert L. Watson died on April 25, 2024.
She grew up in Lynchburg, VA, where she attended Lynchburg College. She was also a graduate of Yale Divinity School, where she received her master’s degree.
Active in an educational career, she taught in the Hudson Public Schools. Later in her career, she was Language Arts Coordinator for the Quincy Public Schools in Quincy, Illinois.
She and her husband lived for years in the Hiram/Garrettsville area where her husband served on the faculty at Hiram College.
She is survived by her son David, daughter-in-law Natalie, grandson Joshua and his wife Kristyn, grandson Jonathan and his wife Sarah and great-grandson Carson.
Private, graveside services will be held in the near future.
