Margot grew up in Eastern Germany and after World War II she made her way to Western Germany. She wound up in a small town called Erding near Munich where she met her loving husband who was serving in the U.S. Air Force. It was fate that day when they met and shared a cab together. They ended up going to dinner and a movie, then 2 years later they were married in Friesing, Germany. They shared 66 beautiful years together, 64 of them spent in the Cleveland, Ohio area. She was a devoted, loving Mother who spent her time caring for her children and participating in many of the children’s school activities. She was an avid bowler who participated on several leagues with her friends and family for many years. Margot was an excellent baker and cooked from scratch some of my favorites: 12-layer chocolate torte cake, dumplings with blueberry sauce, and her infamous chicken noodle soup. Everything she made was always a of labor of love, all while managing the household for her devoted husband thru his working years.
She had the most beautiful blue-gray eyes and when she smiled you could see them light up, especially when she was surrounded by her family and loved ones. Our grandchildren and greatgrandchildren were the light of her life. She will be missed dearly by her family, friends, and anyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
