Marie F. Fruce's Obituary
Marie (Mary) Frances Fruce (nee Steinhauser) passed on to a new adventure on September 11, 2012 at the age of 90. Born at home in the village of Mollersdorf, Austria near Vienna in February 1922, the youngest daughter of John and Antonia Steinhauser. With her parents and older sister Antoinette (Tonchie) she left from Cherbourg, France aboard the ship Mauritania arriving Ellis Island. The family settled in the West Side of Cleveland (Clark-Fulton). She married the “boy next door”, Anthony Fruce, who predeceased her in 1966.  Her children, Geraldine Ziemba, Shirley Hostetler, and Joseph Fruce feel fortunate to have had her as their Ma. Fun loving grandma to Amber Ziemba McCarty, Autumn Ziemba McKenzie, Jacob Hostetler and Giavanna Fruce. She was thrilled to be Baba to great grandbaby,Maren Vera McKenzie. She was the loving sister of Antoinette (Tonchie) Blazek (deceased), who raised her from the age of 9 when their mom passed away. Aunt to Betty Priborsky (deceased), Lois Tripodo, Bob Mirarck and Laura Breitenbach. Devoted sister in law and best friend of Evelyn Mirarck (deceased). Cousin Mitzie to the Klimkowicz/Swiatkowski/Zacharias families with whom she spent most of her childhood days. Godmother to Phil Starr and Bob Mirarck. Cousin of Kenny Fruce, dear friend of the Sanders family and special Nana Fruce to the Rybak family. She was happiest when feeding people, and was a pushover for a stray animal - truly a Kind Hearted Woman. Superb cook and pie baker, story teller and wedgie giver (to her grandkids). Life was never easy for her, but she did what she had to do and showed us that no matter what happens….you just keep moving. Per mom’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  Mom would like you to remember her by having a rum and coke. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 6100 Rockside Woods Blvd, Suite 445, Independence, Oh 44131, in honor of her grandson Jake Hostetler or Citizens Committee for Lakewood Animal Shelter (CCLAS), P.O. Box 771323, Lakewood, Oh 44107 or any animal shelter of your choice.  Thank you Kemper House Strongsville.  And so an end of an era for our family…….”Something of you I own and wear, curve of mouth, color of hair, and other things that time proves true are part of me and were part of you . . .” Thanks Ma. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 2 PM in the Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted; where family and friends will be received from 1:00 PM till the time of the Service.WWW.DOSTALBOKAS.COM
