Mrs. Marie was more than the best neighbor ever. She was always kind, caring, and a spark of joy! I’ll never forget the good old summer days, stopping over to say hi, and leaving with a plate of cookies. She really did teach me to love thy neighbor and i’ll take that with me wherever I go. Every time my brother and I would stop over, she noticed every inch grown, any different haircut, and each grade passed. I’m forever grateful to have grown up next to sweet Mrs. Marie. I’m sure she’s still making people smile from up above. May she rest in peace.

Mrs. Marie as I called her was the most friendly and kind neighbor a young kid could have. I remember going over to her house and helping sweep the back porch once it got covered in leaves. I loved to do it mostly because Mrs. Marie had one of the greatest smiles, every time she opened the door to thank me and sit outside it was always with a huge smile. I never asked for anything in return, but secretly I hoped she had a batch of cookies to give me; god did she make great cookies. May Mrs. Marie rest in peace, rejoice in heaven, and show Jesus that great smile.
