Marie Lindsay Koch's Obituary
Marie Lindsay Koch, age 97, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2025. She was born on April 21, 1928, to the late Thomas and Mary Lindsay.
Marie was the beloved wife of the late Jack Koch. Together, they built a home filled with warmth and kindness, raising five children who carry forward her legacy: Jack (Cheryl) Koch, Jean (Greg) Foutz, Thomas (Cheryl) Koch, Kathryn Koch, and Linda (Jim, deceased) Koch.
She was a proud and loving grandmother to Dustin (Michele) Koch, Kendra (Joel) Van Horn, Michael (Katy) Foutz, Lindsay Petro, Danielle Koch, Jonathon (Allison) Koch, and Erin (Noah) Loveless.
Her joy multiplied with the arrival of 15 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her endless delight and pride.
She is also the cherished sister of Thomas (Joanne) Lindsay, Margaret Lindsay (deceased), and Joan (Richard, deceased) Ihde.
Marie was an active member of West Park United Church of Christ and faithfully watched live stream services as her mobility decreased.
While she was dedicated to raising her family, Marie was also passionate about her work as a legal secretary, working for the City of Cleveland Law Department and Roudebush, Brown, and Ulrich at various times during her life.
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 4-8:00pm at Sunset Memorial Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, September 12, 2025, at 10:00am at West Park United Church of Christ, 3909 Rocky River Drive, Cleveland, Ohio 44111.
In remembrance of Marie, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to West Park United Church of Christ.
