Marilou Jean McDonald's Obituary
Marilou Jean McDonald (nee Morgan), age 84, passed away peacefully at home on April 7, 2021.
Marilou is the beloved and cherished wife and best friend of the late Owen Horace McDonald; mother of Jewell Brake (Bill ‘Skip’), Timothy (Katrina), Thomas (deceased), and Todd (Vickie) McDonald; grandmother of Justus Brake (Tina), Cailey Brake, Tyler Brake (fiancé Kaitin Kolp), Britney McDonald McElwain (Matt), Timothy Jr., Cole, and Jenny McDonald (Elizabeth), Chuck McDonald (Kelly), Max McDonald, Todd, Greg, Bruce and Scarlett McDonald; great-grandmother of Hazel & Violet, Willy & Waylon, Camdyn, C.J. & Landon, Shirley, and Layla & Jay’Vion
Marilou is the daughter of the late Myron T. and Marie (nee Barnhart) Morgan, sister to the late Betty Koch (the late Ray), the late Ruth Thomas (the late Barney), and Carol Bartlett (the late Bob). Sister-in-law of Donna McDonald (the late Luther) and Vivian McDonald (the late Claude). Loving Cousin Rev. Tom Snyder (Kitty). Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Marilou was a child advocate, she was very active in the Olmsted Falls PTA and the Olmsted Township community during the 60’s and 70’s. She went to work for Central Bank in the 80’s and retired from Key Bank. She spent the remainder of her life dedicated to her grandchildren and great-children who brought her much joy.
Following COVID guidelines, visitation will be held on Monday, April 12, 2021 from 5pm until 8pm at the Sunset Chapel located at 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted 44070. Funeral services will take place in the same building on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 12 noon. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
