Marilyn Anne Decker's Obituary
Marilyn Anne Decker, age 77, of North Olmsted, Ohio, passed away on December 20, 2025.
Born on August 9, 1948, Marilyn was the beloved daughter of the late Bruce and Anne Goe. Her life was marked by devotion—to her family, her faith, her music, and her community.
Marilyn is survived by her husband of 55 years, Arthur Decker, with whom she built a life grounded in love, partnership, and shared purpose. She was the cherished mother of Bruce Decker who is married to Claire Decker and the proud grandmother of Christian, Brighton, Elyria, and Adalae, who brought her endless joy.
A woman of deep faith, Marilyn was an active member of the Advent Episcopal Church in Westlake. She found fellowship and fulfillment through the Advent Ladies Dinner group and lifted her voice in praise as part of the Advent Choir. Her love of music extended beyond the church walls as a dedicated member of the TrueNorth Chorale, where she shared her gift of song and her generous spirit with fellow singers and audiences alike.
Marilyn will be remembered for her warmth, her kindness, and the gentle strength she carried into every relationship and every endeavor. Her legacy lives on in the family she adored, the music she loved, and the many lives she touched.
Memorial Service details will be posted once scheduled.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marilyn’s memory to the Advent Episcopal Church, 3760 Dover Center Road, Westlake, Ohio 44145.
