Gary Fletcher
It was a picture-perfect day when our family gathered for our beloved mom / grandma / great-grandma. There was a wonderful service conducted by Rev. Don King, retired pastor from Hope Lutheran Church in Cleveland Heights and also my former roommate at Ashland College, who lovingly responded to my request with just a couple days notice. Of special note was his very touching prayer while kneeling next to mom's urn with his hand placed upon it. There were also wonderful tributes by members of the Fletcher family. It seems strange (and probably will for some time) to think "it's time to call mom" and realize those days are gone. But the love she showed for all of us, the shining example of class and dignity she exhibited, are rich vaults of memories that will keep me smiling forever.
