Marilyn Wray Gillilan's Obituary
Marilyn Wray Gillilan, age 86, of Homerville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 29, 2020, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born December 9, 1933 in Parma, daughter of the late Charles E. and Esther (nee Hadley) Lacey. Marilyn enjoyed crocheting, baking, and traveling with her husband while doing volunteer work for 13 years. She loved the color purple and anything that she could find it in! Marilyn was known for her love and collection of cardinals. Marilyn’s fun and energetic spirit will never be forgotten.
Devoted wife of 68 years to Leland R. Gillilan; cherished mother of Peggy Wray (Greg) Bucur, Greg (Debbie) Gillilan, Pamela (Russell) Boland, Polly (John) Sanok, and Gary Gillilan; beloved grandmother of Elisa, Christina, Matthew, Joshua, Jennifer, Jillian, Jeremiah, Cody, and the late Zachary; loving great grandmother of 18; treasured sister of the late Kenneth (Betty, surviving) Lacey, the late Charles (Patricia, surviving), and the late Gordon (Nancy, surviving).
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 from 12Noon – 2PM in the Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, OH 44070 where funeral service will commence at 2PM. Interment immediately following in Sunset Memorial Park.
