Marilyn M. Mulligan's Obituary
Marilyn M. Mulligan, age 86, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 1, 2018.
She was born in Toledo, Ohio on November 11, 1931 to the late Charles Clayton and Marie Theresa (nee Hug) Smith. Cherished mother of Sue Marie (Charles) Wilhelm and the late James Edward Mulligan; beloved grandmother of Gretchen Wilhelm, Charles (Brittany) Wilhelm, Hannah (Anthony) Taddeo, Rebekah (C. Benjamin Herring) Wilhelm, Jordan (Alethea) Wilhelm, and Josiah Wilhelm; loving great grandmother of Elia, Ezekiel, Eliannah, and Clorinda; honorary grandmother to Claire Mulligan and her children Peter, Celeste, Dimitri, and Sistina; she is survived by her sister-in-law Delores Smith and her aunt Sue Walters.
Marilyn was a gifted teacher and taught in the Berea City Schools, The King’s Academy, The Mayan School in Honduras, a Navaho Indian Reservation boarding school, the Cleveland City Schools, and HEARTS for Jesus Christ Home Education Institute over a 58-year career in education. She was an avid dog lover, a published writer, and an accomplished artist. The two most important things in her life were her relationship with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and her beloved family.
Visitation will take place on Monday, April 9, 2018 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Sunset Chapel 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. Funeral services will also be held at the Sunset Chapel on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 10 a.m. Burial will immediately follow.
