Marilyn Jane Smith's Obituary
Marilyn Jane “Lyn” Smith, 87, was born on August 28, 1935 to the late Floyd and Marian Meyerink. Daughter-in-law of the late Bem and Florence Smith.
Lyn was a faithful member of New Hope Reformed Church for 39 years. She was an avid baker and enjoyed antiquing. Lyn also valued the friendships she developed over the years. She always stayed connected with her friends and would never pass up an opportunity to visit them.
Lyn passed on September 30, 2022. Beloved wife of H. Bruce Smith. Cherished mother of Kevin B. (Terri) Smith, Kathy L. (John) Charette, Craig P. (Anita Knuth) Smith, and Carrie J. (Anthony) Cirino. Loving grandmother of Phil Smith, Michelle (Ericka Grover) Smith, Eric (Dilyn) Smith, Andrew (Anne) Charette, Adam (Allison Terrazas) Charette, Jake (Jamie) Charette, Joe Charette, Mason Knuth, Spencer Knuth, Emmett Knuth, Ella Cirino, and Nicolas Cirino. Great-grandmother of Alice Charette, Eleanore Charette, Xzavier Grover, and Summer Grover. Dear sister of the late Paul R. (Dorothy, surviving) Meyerink. Sister-in-law of the late Cora (Ed) Strawbridge and the late Ruth (Ken, surviving) Hollingsworth.
Visitation is Wednesday, October 5, 2022 from 4-8PM at Sunset Funeral Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. Service is Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 12PM at the funeral chapel.
