Marilyn Smith's Obituary
Marilyn Smith, 67, of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 21, 2024. Born on August 5, 1957, she was the beloved daughter of the late Edward Francis Knight, Jr and Helen Rose Knight (Ross).
Marilyn was a cherished sister to Janet (Richard) and sister-in-law to Maria Knight (Edward Francis Knight III). She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald Edward Smith.
Marilyn's memory will be carried on by her nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Christopher, Nichole, Edward, great nephew, Jayden and many other family members and friends who loved her dearly. Marilyn was known to many as everyone’s “Aunt Marilyn”.
Marilyn had a big heart for those struggling in life and would help anyone in need. She loved the ladies on the third floor at Normandy Senior Apartments in Rocky River and would bake for them every chance she could.
Marilyn had a difficult time in life and suffered with both physical and mental health but was a fighter and her strong-willed nature never stopped her doing what she wanted.
Marilyn finally found comfort and community from the wonderful caretakers at Hospice of the Western Reserve and Malachi House.
