Marilyn Ann Vertal's Obituary
Marilyn Ann Vertal (nee Pfeffer), entered into rest 4/22/24. She was born 10/31/30 to the late Helen and Elmer Pfeffer. Beloved mother of Tommy (deceased), Taryl (Marcia), Kevin (Christine) and Helene (Glen) Banks. Devoted, dear grandmother of Laurren Banks, Jessica (Killian) McGrath, Stephanie, Victoria, Hannah, and Micah. Proud great-grandmother of Lily McGrath and Rowan Herbert.
She worked in administration at Fairview Hospital, with the Stephen ministry part of her 55 years at Westlake United Methodist Church and greatly enjoyed playing cello with the Cleveland Women’s Orchestra in her younger years. She loved traveling out west to collect rocks and fossils plus visiting friends and ghost towns. She lovingly baked traditional family cookies to share each Christmas season. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.
Visitation will be at Sunset Memorial Park Thursday 4/25/24 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm, with celebration of life service at 10:00 am Friday 4/26/24, followed by burial and onsite lunch.
