Marion L. Paugh's Obituary
Marion L. Paugh, age 93, of North Olmsted, OH passed away on July 26, 2021. Marion was born November 9, 1927 in Scotch Plains, New Jersey, the daughter of the Dorothy and George Macaulay. She had one brother, Walter, deceased. A niece, Tracy A. Macaulay and a nephew, George A. Macaulay survive. Marion graduated from Everett College in 1948. Her first job was in the Empire State Building in New York on the 77th floor. Her boss was Warren “Bud” Paugh. They were married a year later. Bud passed away on November 10, 1990. They had lived in Pittsburgh, PA., Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Detroit, MI, then North Olmsted, OH. In each city, Marion volunteered in area hospitals, working with children. Once settled in North Olmsted she became involved with friends of Far West Center, a community mental health agency, fundraising for their programs. She was invited to join the Far West Center’s board of directors, a position she held for approximately 10 years. She had been a member of Rocky River United Methodist Church Since May 1947. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be forwarded to Rocky River Methodist’s Memorial Endowment Fund. A Memorial Service will be held at Rocky River United Methodist Church, 19414 Detroit Rd., Rocky River, on Saturday August 7th at 2 PM. Interment at SUNSET MEMORIAL PARK, North Olmsted on Monday, August 9th at 1:00 PM.
