Mark James Maurer's Obituary
Mark James Maurer, 64, of Cleveland, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on July 8, 2021. He was born on September 4, 1956 in Lakewood, Ohio to the late Karl “Dutch” and Dorothy (nee Gutschmidt) Maurer. Mark was a member of the Chippewa Gun club. He will be fondly remembered as an avid duck hunter and expert marksman. He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife Carol (nee Dulik) of 33 years; loving daughters Laura (Joe) Gaspar and Sandy (Jason) Richards; treasured grandchildren Taylor Krafcik, Samantha Guzowski, Phoebe Guzowski, Madison Gaspar, and Mia Richards; dear brothers Dana (Linda) Maurer and Eric (Nancy) Maurer; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Les Maurer. Friends and family may call on Monday, July 12, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 12 Noon at the chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in North Olmsted, Ohio.
