Marlana R Yuncker's Obituary
Marlana Rae Yuncker, 77, of North Ridgeville, peacefully passed away in the care of hospice on the morning of March 7th, 2024. She was born October 28th, 1946 in Norfolk VA, to LeeVerda and William Doran. She graduated from Olmsted Falls High School in 1965.
She was a sensitive and complex woman. A strong willed, stubborn spirit with a soft spot for dogs and babies. Her identity as a mother, and devotion to her daughters was always present, even in challenging times. She was a strong believer in her faith, and instilled values of equality, independence, and determination. She truly loved simple things; crime dramas and endless cups of tea, any reason to be out in the fresh air and sunshine, chili dogs and a little something sweet at the end of the night. Butterflies, angels, and rainbows. Although so tiny in stature, she was a tremendous presence, leaving a layered void, and she will be deeply missed.
She is preceded in death by her brothers, Butch and Wayne, and her parents.
Marlana is survived by her loving family, including her three daughters: Shawna (Jahn) Landis, Kelley (Marc) Molnar, and Brye (Nick Toncheff) Roth, along with her grandchildren: Meghan, CJ, Seattle, and Henry, and her granddogs: Trix, Jack, Gambit, and Rogue.
Her daughters would like to thank the staff at the cancer wing at Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital, the staff at Cleveland Clinic Acute Rehabilitation Beachwood, and the staff at O’Neill Lakewood for their wonderful care and compassion. Our mother’s last month alive was spent with caregivers that made her feel loved and sincerely cared for, and we will be forever grateful for the care given to her, and to us, during an incredibly difficult time.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 30th, 2024 beginning at 2:00pm at Sunset Memorial Park (6265 Columbia Road, North Olmsted). We will meet at the chapel and travel together to her final resting place. There will be a reception following with light nourishment and time to reminisce.
