Marlene R. Short's Obituary
MARLENE R. SHORT, 72, of Wesley Chapel, FL., passed away April 12, 2016. She will be missed by her husband, Dwight L. Short, her children Jodi Short (Matthew Fogelson) and Blair Short (Joy Short), her grandchildren, Jed Fogelson and Spencer, Aidan and Ty Short and by all those whose lives she touched. Beloved mentor to her students at Ford Junior High School, Bowling Green HS, and Midpark High School and long-time volunteer at the West Side Ecumenical Ministry; Hot Foods for the needy in Zephyrhills, and the many animals at the Tampa Bay Humane Society will all miss her as much as her regular family. She will be remembered most for her empathy and compassion for those in need. Remembrances in Marlene’s honor will be held in Florida (Open House 5:30-7:30 p.m. April 19) and Ohio (Sunset Memorial Park, 6245 Columbia Rd., Olmsted Falls, 2-4 p.m. April 30). In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to St. James Methodist, Tampa; CVC Church in Broadview Hts., OH.; or the Dwight & Marlene Short Scholarship Fund at BGSU.
