Martha Karen Kitzel's Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Martha Karen Kitzel on August 4, 2024. Born on January 31, 1936, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Ralph and Esther Suttis, Karen’s life was a testament to her strength, compassion, and unwavering spirit.
Karen’s journey began as the cherished daughter of Ralph and Esther, whose legacy of love and resilience she carried forward. She lived a rich life filled with the love of her family, the joy of her children, and the laughter of her grandchildren.
She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her husband, Dellburt Kitzel. children, Ben (Karen) Gommel and Kristen Gommel; her adored grandchildren, Emily (Andrew Wiles) Gommel and Benjamin Gommel. Each of them reflects a part of Martha’s enduring love and wisdom.
Karen’s life was a beacon of guidance and support for her family. Her presence was a source of comfort, and her guidance was their compass. She was a woman of remarkable strength, facing life’s challenges with grace and courage.
As we bid farewell to Karen, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of moments that will be treasured forever. Her legacy will continue to live on through the lives of those she touched.
A memorial service will be held in her honor on Friday, August 16, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070.
