Martha Langdon McArdle's Obituary
Martha Langdon McArdle, 90, formerly of Olmsted Falls, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on August 23, 2018 at the Bickford Assisted Living of Rocky River.
She was born in Syracuse, NY, the daughter of the late Arthur W. and Ruth (nee Clook) Langdon. She graduated from Cazenovia College with an Associate Degree. Martha moved to Cleveland and was the secretary to the Vice President of Employee Relations at CEI for 36 years, retiring on June 1, 1987. She married Jack G. McArdle and they shared 16 wonderful years together. Jack predeceased her on December 27, 2015. Martha was a world and domestic traveler visiting various places with her friends and her husband. Martha and Jack cherished their time together on their daily drives through the Metro Parks and to Huntington Beach for lunch while overlooking Lake Erie. She enjoyed dancing at the Springvale Ballroom and hosting her friends at the family lake house in Apple Valley. She was loved by many and will be missed dearly by all.
Martha is the loving sister of Arthur (Dianne Wojdon) Langdon; adored aunt of Laurie (Daniel) Baisch and Jennifer (Dave) Adkins and great-aunt of Evan Baisch and Blake, Zoe, and Peyton Adkins; dear step-mother of Glenn (Cindy) McArdle and Judy (Mike) Hessling; cherished step-grandmother of Katelin, Michael, Kelsey and Megan; loving cousin and friend of many.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 from 12PM-2PM at the Sunset Chapel in Sunset Memorial Park, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, where funeral services will commence on Wednesday at 2PM. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cypress Hospice, 2 Berea Commons, Suite 1, Berea, Ohio 44017.
