Martin Uldis Kronitis' Obituary
Martin Uldis Kronitis, 95, of North Olmsted, Ohio passed away on March 5, 2021. He was born on November 10, 1925 in Riga, Latvia to the late Janis and Anna (nee Bruzevics) Kronitis. Martin was a GM retiree and a cherished and active member of the American Latvian community. He was an avid gardener and voracious reader of current events. His spare time was filled with cheering on Cleveland sports and enjoying a good Sudoku puzzle. Martin’s warm, charming personality will be missed. Beloved husband of Nellija (nee Ladusans) Kronitis (deceased); loving father of Sandra (Uldis) Kronitis-Sipols and Eric (Lauma) Kronitis; treasured grandfather of Andra (Matt) Minor, Inara Sipols, Elisa Sipols, Kate Kronitis, and Tina Kronitis; and dear great-grandfather of Henriks Martin Minor. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 from 4-6 PM at Sunset Funeral Service, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, OH 44070. Graveside service will take place on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 11:30 AM at Sunset Memorial Park, Section 2K, 6265 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. Contributions may be made in Martin’s memory to United Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church of Cleveland or the Latvian Welfare Association of Cleveland.
