Mary Patrice Geier's Obituary
We are saddened to learn of the death of Mary Patrice Geier, spouse of David G. Geier of Strongsville, Ohio who passed away on August 29, 2022, at the age of 74. Mary is pre-deceased by her father Paul Anthony Mielcarek, M.D., and mother, Frances Amelia (nee Burger) Mielcarek. She is survived by her brother Donald J. (Vicki) Mielcarek, M.D., of St. Louise, and sisters Bernice Ann (Terry) McGovern, Paula M. Van Balen of McLean, VA, and Joan Elaine of Albuquerque. She will be missed by her stepchildren Jon Geier (Rhonda) and Jackie (Glen Graves) Geier, and step grandchildren Ryan Geier, Haleigh Tecco, Isabella James, Zak Cook (Emily) and Kody Geier, along with many nieces and nephews and her dear friend Penny Szunyogh. Mary graduated from Marquette University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She attended the Institute of European Studies in Nantes, France during her third year. Mary was active in her field of Human Resources for many years at ALLTEL Corporation, Key Bank and Harley-Davidson Motor Company. In recent years, she continued part-time HR consulting at Coast to Coast Equipment. Visitation will take place on Thursday, September 1, 2022, from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM with a memorial service at 5:30 PM at Sunset Chapel 4245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. Inurnment to be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hospice of Southwest General Hospital. Condolences and memories may be left at sunsetfuneralandcemetery.com
