Mary Alice Jarrell's Obituary
Mary Alice Jarrell, age 86, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2024. Born on March 29, 1938, in Warren, Ohio, to the late Frank and Mary Nydegger, Mary dedicated her life to caring for others.
Mary Alice’s journey in nursing began at Mt. Sinai Hospital, where she trained and worked for five years. She then continued her career at Fairview Hospital, serving the community with compassion and dedication for 35 years. Her commitment to her profession and the countless lives she touched will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
Mary Alice is survived by her loving husband, Harry Jarrell, and her children: Daniel (Leyna) Jarrell, David (Darlene) Jarrell, and Amy Jarrell. She was a proud grandmother to David (Alison), Dennis, Ashley, Joshua, Amanda, Shawn, Neil (deceased), and Austin and a cherished great-grandmother to Brody, Ava, and Ella. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Norma Wilkinson and Nancy Conway.
Mary Alice’s legacy of love, kindness, and service will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Memorial Visitation is Monday, September 16, 2024, from 10-11:00 AM at Sunset Memorial Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070, where her Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 AM.
