Mary Louise “Mary Lou” Lustig (née Kopp), 93, of North Ridgeville, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her devoted family on January 27, 2026. She was born on April 19, 1932, in Cherry Tree, Pennsylvania, to the late Carl Kopp and Goldena (née Bowden) Kopp.
Mary Lou was the beloved wife of the late Robert Lee Lustig, with whom she shared a life built on love, devotion, and quiet strength. She was a devoted mother to Vickie (Scott) Turner, Tamala (Kenny) DiFilippo, Robert (Karen) Lustig, and the late Thomas Korney and John “Jackie” Korney. Her family was her greatest joy, and she took immense pride in each of her children and grandchildren.
She was a loving grandmother to David, Robert, Dominic (fiancée Grace), Marlee, Anniston, and Stoney, who brought light and laughter into her life as she did in theirs. Mary Lou is also survived by her sister Kathlene, and is reunited in peace with her siblings Arlene, Geraldine, Charles, Thomas, and Kenneth, all of whom preceded her in death.
Mary Lou is further survived by her dear friend Brenda, whose companionship and support meant the world to her.
Mary Lou will be remembered as a kind and caring soul. Her gentle nature, warm heart, and unwavering compassion touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She lived her life with grace, humility, and a quiet strength that inspired those around her.
Her legacy lives on in the love she shared, the kindness she showed, and the family she nurtured.
