Mary Sara Schabitzer's Obituary
Mary Sara Schabitzer, age 87, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2025. She was born on September 20, 1938, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Louis Smilor and Agnes McCormick.
Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carl Leonard Schabitzer, whom she married in 1958. She was a devoted mother to Diane (Richard) Artman, Steve (Marji) Schabitzer, Lisa (David) McIntire, David (Constance) Schabitzer, and Kenneth (Lindsay) Schabitzer. She was cherished by her seven grandchildren—Alex Artman, Chelsea Artman, Michael McIntire, Matthew McIntire, Samantha Schabitzer, Amanda Stevens, and Sebastian Schabitzer—and three great-grandchildren, Taylor McIntire, Logan McIntire, and Kaeden McIntire.
Mary dedicated her life to her family and home, finding joy in caring for those she loved. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering Christian faith will be remembered by all who knew her. She was truly a woman of God whose life reflected grace and devotion.
Visitation will be will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070
Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070.
Burial will immediately follow the service in Sunset Memorial Park, Section 46, Lot 60, Grave #2.
A luncheon will be held from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM following all services at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070.
