Maryann Zrenner's Obituary
Maryann Zrenner (nee Vallo), age 79, passed away February 28, 2014. Maryann was born to Mary and Peter Vallo on July 13, 1934 in Cleveland, Ohio. Being the first to give birth to identical triplets at St. Alexis hospital, Maryann rejoiced in her two sons, John and Ralph, and forever grieved the loss of her son Dale days after his birth. She was blessed again shortly thereafter with the birth of her fourth son, Alan. She served her family and worked at Cleveland CAP Screw. Due to her diminishing health she was forced to retire yet continued to serve her family by caring for her many grandchildren and numerous animals. It’s been said of Maryann, “If it moved she fed it and if it didn’t, she painted it”. By the love of her family, she overcame many medical obstacles, including a heart transplant in 1998. She refused to give up and like the energizer bunny, she kept “going and going”. Though challenged medically she still managed to enjoy many years of gardening and boating with her family. Remaining today is the legacy of love between Otto and Maryann, which leaves a timeless testimony and model for her future generations.
Maryann was preceded in death by parents Peter and Mary Vallo, siblings Frances, Richard, Donald and James. Beloved wife of Otto; dear mother of John (Cindy), Ralph, Dale (deceased) and Alan (Anitra) Kraus; cherished grandmother of Angie, Melissa, Christopher, Melody, David, Nick, Sarah, Rachel, Randy, and Sarah and great-grandmother of Christian, Anessa, Cody, Sydney, Cheira, Michael, Tara, Sarah, Alex, Gavin, and Christian. And loving sister of Anthony, Larry (Janice) Vallo and Jane (Paul) Mastro and sister-in-law of Marie Vallo. Funeral service Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 10AM in the Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, where the family will receive friends on TUESDAY from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
