Mathew J. Gallo's Obituary
Mathew J. Gallo, 85, of Westlake, Ohio, passed away on November 11, 2022. Mathew was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on August 26, 1937, to the late Mathias and Irene B. (nee Szak) Gallo. He worked as a pipe fitter with Local 120 for 43 years and was a member of the Masons and received the honorary title of Acacia 3rd Degree. The Acacia sprig primarily symbolizes the immortality of the soul when it is presented to a Master Mason. He is survived by his daughter Kathleen Gallo and grandchildren Michael Gallo and Margaret Gallo. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Margaret Mary (nee Dostal), and his son Steven Gallo. Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 12 Noon, at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. Internment will take place at 12:30 PM at Sunset Memorial Park, 6265 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, Ohio 44070.
