Maurice Andrew Straslicka's Obituary
Maurice Andrew Straslicka, age 95, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 3, 1930, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Andrew Straslicka and Beulah Reeves.
Maurice was a devoted father, grandfather, and great‑grandfather whose greatest joy in life was his family. He leaves behind his beloved children, Deborah (Robert) Corns, Mark Straslicka, Nancy Wiencek, and Bruce (Laura) Straslicka. He was the proud grandfather of Jonathan (Erin), Caitlin (Zac), Erin (Tyler) and Emerson, and the cherished great‑grandfather of Elliot, Declan, and Owen. Maurice is also survived by his brother, Loren (Mary) Straslicka, and was a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lois Straslicka (née Schneider), and his sister, Doris (Joe) Kemp.
Maurice proudly served in the United States Navy for three years. He had a natural talent for fixing anything—whether around the house or under the hood of a car. His skill and dedication led him to a long career with Ford Motor Company, where he worked for many years as a Tinsmith. Maurice was known for his steady hands, practical wisdom, and the satisfaction he found in working with tools and machinery.
Above all, Maurice will be remembered for his witty spirit, unwavering love for his wife, Lois and his family, and the countless ways he touched the lives of those around him.
A private graveside service has already been held for immediate family only at Sunset Memorial Park, 6265 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070.
In lieu of gifts and flowers, please consider making a donation to Hospice of the Western Reserve.
