Michael G. Herod's Obituary
Michael G. Herod, age 67, of North Olmsted, passed away unexpectedly, on Wednesday, August 5, 2020.
He was born April 14, 1953, in Cleveland. He served as a Hospital Corpsman in the U.S. Navy. Mike was a long time employee of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line (NOMBL). He was a classic car enthusiast and an avid Cleveland Browns and Indians fan. He loved spending time at home with his family. They were the most special part of his life. His caring and calming presence will be greatly missed.
He was the devoted husband of 37 years to Beth (nee Wandra); cherished father of Daneen (Carson) Hornsby, James (Lauren Hennessey) Herod, and Leah (Michael Ortiz) Herod; beloved Grandpa Ohio to Mallory and Whitney; treasured brother of David (Mary Jo) Herod, and Dan (Lori) Herod; step-brother of Dave (Michelle) Gerrick; dear son of George (Grace) Herod and Shirley Barry (nee Henderson); dearest son-in-law of James and Melva Wandra.
A private family service has taken place. Michael will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmsted.
