Michael Dean Lee's Obituary
Michael Dean Lee of Penfield, Ohio was born August 1, 1947 in Montgomery,
West Virginia and passed away and went to be with His Almighty Father Monday, October 5, 2020.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Elizabeth (Prechtl) Lee; Daughters: Traci Cogar (Bill), and Mary Lee; Son: Greg Lee (Shay); and 9 Grandchildren: Faith, Amira, Christian, Clayton, Josephine, Violet, Isabella, Evangeline, and Sela.
Michael proudly served our Country as a Marine in Vietnam, in the 1st Marine Aircraft Wing from 1965-1970. He met his wife at Amy Joy Donuts in Fairview Park, Ohio where it was love at first kiss. He spent the next 45 years as a loving husband and father while he was employed as an aerospace mechanic operating the 10X10 Wind Tunnel at NASA Glenn Research Center. He received many awards during the course of his employment for achievements and contributions that he made to perfecting aviation and flight of projects that were tested at the 10X10 Wind Tunnel at NASA Glenn Research Center. Following his retirement, he worked with his wife Betty running a Senior Bible study and volunteering his time in outreach at a local food pantry. He was a member of the American Legion Post #888 in Wellington, Ohio.
Michael was an active Christian and had a meaningful and successful life. Michael loved his work and was supportive of his wife and children in every venture. He also loved to solve crossword puzzles and going fishing. He enjoyed spending time with family, where he put them first in his life.
Michael will always be remembered for having a generous and kind heart and the ability to place one tile on a Scrabble board and win a game.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Woodrow Mullins, Robert W. Lee and Alice Jane Lee. Father-in-law Charles A. Prechtl and wife Bernadene Agnes Steverding.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m., Thursday, October 15, 2020, at the Sunset Chapel, 6245 ColumbiaRd., North Olmsted, where a Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, October 16th.
