Miguel A. Hernandez's Obituary
Miguel A. Hernandez, age 90, passed away September 14, 2021. He was born on May 7, 1931 in Juncos, Puerto Rico to Rufo Aquino Hernandez and Petra Santiago Dieppa. He was the beloved husband of Haydee (nee Figueroa Rivera); the loving father of the late Maria Dyson, Carmen (Alan) Grondin, the late Miguel Jr., Willie (Cynthia) and Cynthia; the cherished grandfather of Rick Dyson (Jennifer), Rob Janik (Denise), Tara Klefsaas (Chris), Jeremy Janik, Luke Hernandez, Matthew Hernandez, Maria Sharp; the great grandfather of Zachary Dyson, Ashlyn Dyson, Cameron Dyson, Holden Janik, Aria Janik, Jonas Janik, Noah Klefsaas, Asher Klefsaas, Canaan Klefsaas, Benaiah Klefsaas, Scarlett Klefsaas, Alyvia Hernandez, Luke Hernandez; the dear brother of the late Carmen Ana; and adored friend and relative of many in Puerto Rico and Cleveland area.
Miguel married Haydee on January 12, 1952, in Puerto Rico and moved to Cleveland, Ohio to start their life together. He worked at Jones & Laughlin Steel Company from 1952 to 1983. He enjoyed gardening, reading, listening to traditional Spanish music, and entertaining friends and family at home. He was very active being of service to those in need within his local community and church in Puerto Rico. He was a founding member of San Juan Bautista Parish in Cleveland and was very active in the fundraising efforts of the church. He was a current member of Parroquia La Sagrada Familia.

The Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021 at 12:00 PM in the Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 6245 Columbia Rd. North Olmsted. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
