Mindy "M" Kazaroff's Obituary
Melinda “Mindy” Kazaroff, age 84, of Grafton, Ohio, passed away at her home on May 10, 2026. Born July 17, 1941, in Cleveland to Steve and Alice Kuten, Mindy grew into a woman whose kindness, grit, and generosity shaped every chapter of her life.
She was the loving wife of the late John Kazaroff and the devoted mother of her daughter and partner‑in‑adventure, Heidi (Janko Jr.) Sandrev. She is survived by her sister, Cindy (Jack) Takac; her sister‑in‑law, Helen Martin; and many nieces and nephews who adored her.
Mindy had an entrepreneurial spirit, running several small businesses—from a gift shop filled with treasures to a video store that became a local favorite. But her heart found its true calling when she and Heidi founded a horse rescue two decades ago. What began as a shared passion grew into a community where people learn responsibility, compassion, and confidence under their gentle guidance. She became a mentor, a friend, and a steady presence to so many.
Her legacy is one of love, service, and unwavering dedication to both people and animals. She will be profoundly missed.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
To honor Mindy’s memory, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the horse rescue, Angels Haven Horse Rescue, she co‑founded and cherished for the past twenty years, continuing the work that meant so much to her. Helping Horses, Helping People.
