Monta Lou Demchak's Obituary
Monta Lou Demchak, 97, of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away on March 13, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on August 25, 1928, to John and Mae Ardery in Clearfield, Pennsylvania. In her early years, Monta proudly served as a polio nurse and later went on to become Head Nurse at Deaconess Hospital, a role that reflected her dedication, strength, and compassion for others.
Monta’s true passion in life was her family, whom she loved endlessly. She was the loving mother of Mark (LuAnne), Jhan (Robert, deceased), and John (deceased, Betty).
She is proceeded in death by her husband, Theodore Demchak, whom she loved dearly and her sisters, JoAnn and Joyce.
Monta was an adoring grandmother to Matt (Michelle), Meghan (Josh), David, Adam (Sarah), Jamie (Wes), and Claudia, and a cherished great-grandmother to Makayla (Daniel), Jhayce, Karas, Payden, Khayde, Atticus, and Ellis.
Monta will be greatly missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 2:00PM–4:00PM at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Medina County.
