Muhlis Y. Kaya, M.D.'s Obituary
Muhlis Y. Kaya M.D. was born on August 1, 1932, and passed away on April 12, 2024.
Loving life partner of Shari VanDuzer, adoring father of Jennifer Clouser (Ed), faithful brother of Gulten Kaya (deceased), Yurdagul Dol (Ahmet), Oya Kalender (Erol), and Engin Kaya (Zeynep). Uncle to Atilla Dol (Gamze) and Susan Kaya (Ron). Predeceased by his loving parents Ahmet and Muhlise and his late wife Barbara Kaya.
He was a dedicated physician in Obstetrics and Gynecology for over 40 years practicing at Deaconess, Parma, and Southwest General Hospitals, delivering many babies to patients who adored him.
In his spare time, “Mike”, as he was called by many who knew him personally, loved reading, cooking, gardening, and boating. After retiring in 2000, travel became his main focus. He loved learning about new cultures, but ultimately found his “happy place” in his beloved Marco Island, Florida.
The family suggests contributions to be made in his name to The Kidney Foundation of Ohio and The Salvation Army of Greater Cleveland.
A celebration of his remarkable life will be held in May at the Cleveland Yachting Club.
