Nancy Karen Tribout's Obituary
Nancy Tribout, 69, of Brunswick, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 17, 2025. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on February 23, 1956 to the late Elvis and Dorothy Raper, Nancy lived a life filled with love, laughter, and the joy of bringing people together.
Nancy was an incredible bowler and it was there, at the bowling alley, where she met John Tribout, who would become her beloved husband of 47 years. Bowling not only brought them together but created an entire network of close friends who became family. Nancy was a devoted mother and leaves behind a legacy of love in her three daughters: Michelle (Jerry, deceased) Bullington, Kim (Jonathan) Kozakiewicz, and Kelly (Eric) Taylor. Nancy's pride and joy was being “Nana” to her five cherished grandchildren: Duane Shaver, Jacob Shaver, Kira Kozakiewicz, Nathaniel Latevola, and Kaitlyn Taylor. She is also survived by her siblings Elvis, Voyd, and Tricia along with several beloved nieces and nephews.
Nancy worked for Ford Motor Company for 20 years and carried those friends with her into retirement. She loved animals and would bring home stray dogs from the side of the road to wash them up and try to find their forever homes. Nancy was a caretaker her whole life. Family, friends, stranger, it did not matter who they were, if she could help, she would. Often, she would show her love with food. She loved cooking and baking. Sharing a favorite meal or a special dessert was the equivalent of hearing I love you and she said it often. Nancy delighted in bringing her loved ones together for a meal or a game. She always enjoyed a good game regardless of if it was a card game, a board game, or a video game. She just wanted to spend time with those she loved. Her infectious laugh will be carried in our hearts until we meet again in Heaven.
Family and friends may gather to celebrate Nancy's life during visitation hours on Thursday, May 29th, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. A service honoring Nancy will be held on Friday, May 30th at 12:00 PM at the same location.
