Norman Dukarm's Obituary
Norman Joseph Dukarm (79) of North Ridgeville, OH was welcomed into God’s Kingdom on February 19, 2024, passing away under the care of hospice and his immediate family by his side. Norman, fondly known as Norm, was born on April 15, 1944, in Cleveland, OH to Joseph and Catherine Dukarm.
Norm was the youngest of two children and is preceded in death by his parents and sister (Janice). In 1967, Norm married the love of his life, Loretta (Kay) Dukarm of Painesville, OH (now North Ridgeville). He is survived by his wife Kay, and his two children, son Jason; daughter Jennifer (Harris) and was blessed with four amazing grandchildren; Nicholas (23), Morgan (20), Wesley (16), and Taylor (14) and will forever be “Papa” to all of them.
A graduate of West Tech High School, Norm also attended Bowling Green and Cleveland State Universities, and studied various business subjects, leading to a robust and life-long career in supply-chain management at Kindt-Collins Inc. (Cleveland, OH), where he proudly retired from in 2012 after over forty years of dedicated service and leadership.
A loving husband and father to his wife Kay and his two children, Norm adored his family dearly, and was always there to support them through life’s trials and tribulations. He was a strong, proud man who could guarantee you a debate simply for the thrill and fun of it. Norm cherished his friendships deeply and he will be remembered in their hearts and minds for his infectious laugh, and his ability to “bring the party” with his silliness and comedic spirit.
Despite being a life-long fan of Cleveland’s sports teams, Norms’ first passion and interest was in the game of golf, where he enjoyed this life-long hobby well into his retirement with friends, former colleagues and fellow-golf league members, with the nineteenth hole usually being his favorite part of the round.
