Oscar Earl White, 79, of Rocky River, passed away May 2, 2016.
Beloved husband for over 40 years of Sally Ann (Teufel); loving father of Kevin White (Sandra), Kurt White, Michael Rosin, Natalie Kurucz (Tom) and Alison Bryant; cherished grandfather of Joshua White, Daniel White, Parker White (Melissa), Davis White, Grace White, Anna White, Caroline White, Daniel McDonald, Jazmin Rosin, Joy Kimberly (Kyle), John Rosin, Madelynne Kurucz, John Kurucz, Rachel Kurucz, Zackary Kurucz, Katherine Kurucz, and Trinity Bryant.
A veteran of the United States Army, 83rd Infantry Division. He was also a proud member of the NRA.
Oscar was well-liked and respected in his role as a meat manager at supermarkets all throughout the greater Cleveland area from 1953 until he retired in 1999. He was an accomplished musician and played for over 4 decades in the Bob Spiwak Orchestra for weddings, dances, festivals, and anniversary celebrations. Later he devoted his life to sharing his faith in Jesus by using his musical skill to entertain and inspire elderly in nursing homes. He also served his Lord by passing out thousands of Bibles at schools, hospitals, police and fire stations and hotels through Gideons International. However, his greatest priority was to love, cherish and care for his beloved bride, Sally. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Gideons International.
The celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, May 6, 2016, at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, OH. Banquet to follow immediately after in the Sunset Chapel.
Interment at Sunset Memorial Park.
