Patricia L. Smith's Obituary
Patricia L. Smith, age 69, of Olmsted Falls, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 following a courageous two year battle with cancer.
She was born August 10, 1950, in Parma, daughter of Stanley and Dorothy (nee Roesch) Liss.
Devoted wife of Gary Smith, cherished mother of Stefanie (Mike) Kley, Jeff (Jen Spear) Smith, Michelle (Scott) James, Matt (Megan) Smith; beloved grandmother of Marissa, Makayla, Taylor, Riley, Matthew, Cam, and Kylee; loving twin sister of Paulette Liss, dearest sister of the late Paul (the late Karen) Liss, Dorothy (the late Paul) Day, the late John Liss, Joanne (the late George) Klaus, Stanley Liss, and Eugene (Madeline) Liss; treasured aunt and friend of many.
Pat was happily married to Gary for 47 years. They made many special memories in Arizona, their favorite winter retreat. Together they raised four children and many dogs. She enjoyed baking, golfing, hiking, hosting holidays with her extended family, celebrating birthdays, taking care of others and making family her first priority. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren; they warmed her heart, as did spending time with her twin sister, Paulette.
Visitation will take place Saturday, December 21, 2019 from 10AM – 12PM and 1PM – 3PM in the Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, OH 44070 where funeral service will commence Sunday, December 22 at 2PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Patricia’s name are suggested to Hospice of the Western Reserve, P.O. Box 72101, Cleveland, OH 44192.
