Patrick Francis Dowling's Obituary
Patrick Francis Dowling, Jr., 79, passed away on Friday, January 5 after a long struggle with many illnesses including kidney disease. Beloved husband of Dorothy (nee Jackow) for 58 years. Loving father of Linda Zublick (David), Joanne Krejci (Ken) and Patrick Dowling (Wendy), and devoted grandfather to Kevin Scollin, Kristen Zublick, Emily Krejci, Patrick, Shea, Keegan and Serena Dowling, and Ryan Walker, and proud great grandfather of Lillia Scollin. He is survived by his two brothers Robert and James Dowling. Born in Elizabeth, N.J., Patrick graduated from Seton Hall University. He has lived in Ohio since 1980, a resident of Strongsville, Catawba Island and presently of Olmsted Falls. He was employed with Scott Fetzer and Kirby Companies as an executive for many years, and Catawba Marketing and Hoover Company as a consultant. Pat was an avid football fan, and enjoyed all sports. While on Catawba Island, he enjoyed fishing, boating and spending time with friends and family, and will always be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by all.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at the Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, January 11, at St. Mary of the Falls Church, 25615 Bagley Rd., Olmsted Falls. Interment at Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmsted.
