Paul J. Karnatz's Obituary
Paul J. Karnatz, formerly of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on December 26, 2019, following a series of illnesses. Paul was the son of Mildred Karnatz and the late Charles G. Karnatz and the grandson of the late Viola May and Leonard Karnatz. Paul graduated with a degree in education from Cleveland State University and was a lead teacher who taught in various early childhood educational environments in Cincinnati, Atlanta and Cleveland. Paul is remembered for his creativity and artistic talent. He was often found with sketch book and pencil in hand immersed in his drawing. In addition to his mother, Paul is survived by his sister, Gail A. Schriver, brother-in-law, Eric S. Schriver, nephew, Andrew C. Schriver and niece, Audrey C. Schriver.
Services will be private. Memorials may be directed in Paul’s name to The National Kidney Foundation (kidney.org). The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to The National Kidney Foundation, the staff of DaVita Ross Dialysis in Fairfield, Ohio and the staff of Burlington House Rehab and Alzheimer’s Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.
