Pauline May Gavel's Obituary
Pauline May Gavel (nee Smith) was born July 28, 1918 in Red Oak, Iowa and entered into heaven, surrounded by her loving family on September 7, 2017. Preceded in death by husband, Joseph Gavel Jr. She is survived by children Deborah of Albuquerque,NM and Jim (Anne Marie) Gavel of Bloomington, MN and also grandchildren Sean and Emily Gavel. Pauline left Iowa to pursue a career as a beautician in Baltimore, MD. She moved to Cleveland in the late 1940’s to continue her profession at the Higbee’s on Public Square. Pauline was a fantastic cook and her bakery was superb. She was voted “Best Mom in the World “ for 62 consecutive years. Her kindness, caring & understanding nature will live on forever in our hearts. Please join us in celebrating her life, beauty and never ending love at 2pm on Saturday October 7, 2017 at the Sunset Chapel in North Olmsted, OH. We love you Mom!
