Peter Tom's Obituary
Peter Tom, age 70, of North Royalton, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2019.
Peter was born January 20, 1949 in New York, NY, son of Yet Pang and May Tom. Peter loved to cook and made endless enjoyable dishes. He was famous for his ribs, Thanksgiving turkey, and his Chinese food and he especially loved eating! He was a tech-fanatic and watched all genres of movies, specifically action/ adventure and musicals. Peter enjoyed the Orchestra, plays, musicals and anything showing at the Playhouse. He had a passion for travelling and has been all over the world. Peter called many places “home” throughout his life and left his mark in New Jersey, Los Angeles, Stamford, Vancouver, and Ohio. He had many preferences, such as the ocean, like Myrtle Beach or the city, since he grew up in New York. He also loved travelling to China, Western Canada, and taking cruises to Europe. Peter was a natural, nurturing care provider, helping the elderly with financial advice for many years. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his friends and family. Peter will be greatly missed by all that were lucky enough to know him. As stated by family, “He was the best father, partner and brother in the world!”
Devoted partner of nine years to Janet Garfield; cherished father of Marissa (David) Houle; beloved step-father of Brandon Danko and Christopher Danko; loving brother of Cherry Tom and Victor (Sze-Wen Kuo) Tom.
Visitation will take place Saturday, March 9, 2019 from 4PM – 8PM in the Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, OH 44070 where funeral service will commence on Sunday, March 10 at 12 NOON.
