Queenie Willison's Obituary
Queenie Willison, 95, of Lakewood, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 21, 2024. Queenie was born in London, England on September 6, 1928, to the late Alfred and Daisy (nee Stubbins) Marden. Queenie met her husband in England, and they married in 1955. They immigrated to America in 1957, and spent the rest of their life a happily residing in Lakewood. She worked as a clerk, raised four beautiful daughters and retired in 1994. Queenie’s favorite things were puzzles, reading, General Hospital and home improvement shows. She is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, John, Grandson Jacob Shienkaruk, her parents, and her siblings, Alfred, James, Charles, Dorothy, Mable, Daisy, Hilda, and Nellie.
She is survived by her sister Joan (Walter) Jarmain, her daughters, Debra (Henry) Mann, Julie (William) Ritchie, Kimberly Willison and Joe Schoger, Lisa Willison and Pat Demero.
Her Grandchildren; Megan (Jacob) Tessin, Kaley (Thomas) Williams, Kayla Malcolm, Alex Mann (Maeve), Joey Shienkaruk, Billy Ritchie, Matthew (April) Pappin, and Sarah Shienkaruk (Byron). Along with her Great-Grandchildren; Lincoln, Norah, Reaghan, Ava, Wren, Aiden, Olivia, and Kingston.
She will be remembered by her wooden spoon.
Queenie’s celebration of life will take place at Sunset Memorial Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070, on Tuesday, April 30th at 4:30 PM, and the family will receive friends from 3:00 to 4:30 PM.
