R. Scott Bartko's Obituary
R. Scott Bartko, age 71, of Parma, passed away on November 4th, 2023. He was born February 13th, 1952, in Cleveland, to the late Richard and Jean (nee Brannock) Bartko.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. He served as a lieutenant firefighter for the North Olmsted Fire Department for over 30 years. He was honored with several awards and commendations for his bravery and dedication to his profession.
Scott had an adventurous spirit and a zest for life. He loved sailing and had a passion for aviation. He also loved traveling and exploring new places with his family. Scott enjoyed spending time with his family, especially through the Cleveland Metro Parks. He was always ready for a new challenge and a fun adventure.
Scott leaves behind a loving family to cherish his memory, including his sons, William Chadwick Bartko and Tristan James Bartko; companion of 19 years, Elizabeth Cooper; grandchildren, Amelia Breslin-Bartko, Rosie Breslin-Bartko; daughter-in-law, Amy Breslin; siblings, Beverly (Rob) Haettich and W. Todd (Lizabeth) Bartko; special niece, Rebecca Stringer
Friends and Family may gather on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, from 10:00AM to 12:00PM at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. A Memorial Service will immediately follow at 12:00PM, officiated by Rev. Chuck Behrens. He will be laid to rest at Sunset Cemetery in Section 43.
