Ray Blevins' Obituary
Ray Blevins of Berea, passed away June 10th, 2026, at the age of 87. He was born in Fort Gay, West Virginia on May 5th, 1939, the son of Samuel and Hazel (Moore) Blevins, one of 12 children. Retired from Progress and the Chevrolet Plant in Parma.
Ray came to Ohio when he was just 17 years old and met and married his cherished wife, Irene (Eula McCoy) on July 10th, 1958.
Ray is survived by his sons, Tim (Carol) and Chris, grandsons, Corey (Jenn), Dillon, and Tristen, and brothers, Russell and James Elza. Plus many, many nieces and nephews.
Ray and his family spent many years camping, boating, and traveling with family and friends. They were always going somewhere or doing something. He loved spending time with his grandsons. He loved going to the VFW #6676 in Berea. Ray and Irene had a lot of very good friends. Loved an occasional beer, or two, a good joke, listening to Country music, singing and playing his guitar, and a little gambling. He said he had a full life and no regrets. He was ready to meet up with Irene again.
Ray will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
We would like to give a heartfelt Thank You to the staff at the Acute Care unit on the 5th floor and Acute Rehab on the 2nd floor at SWGH and also the Thomas P. We appreciate each and everyone of you.
