Ray S. Jarrett's Obituary
Ray S. Jarrett, 70, of Naples, FL. and Medina, OH, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2024. He was born on March 28,1953, to the late Raymond Jarrett and Norma (nee Goff) Meek. He received a Bachelor of English Education Degree from Ohio University and an Associate of Law Enforcement Degree from Cuyahoga Community College. Ray is survived by his wife Margaret (nee Peggy Bartley) Jarrett, his sisters Donna (Larry) Bryant, Lydia M (David) Hyatt, his brother Bryan R. Jarrett. Ray was preceded in death by his sisters, Diana Cordes, Deborah Gehring and brothers, George Jarrett and Brad R Jarrett.
Ray was a Trustee in Medina Township OH from 2009-2019 and he served on the Medina County Planning Commission. He was a Foreman for the Sewer & Water Division, City of Strongsville OH from April 27, 1979 - November 30, 2016. Recently, he was working as a Student Transport for Sports Club in Naples FL. He was a member of Holy Martyrs and St Peter the Apostle Catholic Churches.
Ray loved nature, hiking, and fishing. He was loved and respected by his family and friends.
Ray’s Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, April 19, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, OH 44070.
