Raymond "Ray" Barge's Obituary
Raymond ‘Ray’ Barge Jr., 89, of Bay Village passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2020. Born in Cleveland to the late Raymond and Flora Barge Sr. Besides his parents, Ray is preceded in death by his brother Albert Barge and sister Carol Gruttadaurio. He is survived by his children Ellen Barge, Jeffrey Barge, and Douglas (Karin) Barge; grandchildren Nikolaus (Katrina) Barge, Matthew Barge, and William Barge; great-grandchildren Nell and Benjamin; siblings Arlyne Barge and Gerritt (Linda) Barge; many nieces, nephews, and other loving family.
Ray was a banker for nearly 40 years with Central National Bank and loved his career. He also bravely served in the United States Marines during the Korean Conflict. Ray enjoyed music and had even started learning to play guitar. He loved to travel and had visited Australia, Hawaii on many occasions, and took many family trips all over the country. In his younger years he passed the time with golf and tennis and later found an interest in growing bonsai plants. Ray will be dearly missed.
A committal ceremony will take place at Sunset Memorial Park located 6265 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted 44070 on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 11AM.
