Raymond C. Ross, Jr.'s Obituary
Raymond Charles Ross, Jr., 80 years old, was born to Raymond Charles Ross, Sr. and Laura (nee Puch) on December 7, 1942. Older brother of the late Cynthia Niznik. Proud father of Jeff Ross (Viviana), Jeaneen Ross, and Ryan Ross (Colleen). Adoring "Papi" to Brendan, Kelton, Lavella, Halle, Ryan, and Cara. Uncle to Rosie, Donna, Jackie, Pauline, Margie, Donny (deceased), John and Joey. Long time loving companion of Linda Mendyka.
Ray grew up on the west side of Cleveland and graduated from John Marshall High School class of 1961. He enlisted in the Marine Corps and left for boot camp in 1964. He proudly served in the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged as Corporal in 1967. Retired Pipefitter/Vice President of Local #120. Ray was a humble and patriotic man that believed in hard work, honesty and integrity. He was smart and resourceful and always had an ear to lend to someone in need. He enjoyed music, dancing, golfing, traveling, the Cleveland Browns and visiting with friends and his many cousins. While the last few years were painful, he died at peace with his people by his side and did it his way until the very end. A heartfelt thank you to his "sons" Jayvon Lawson and Steffon Butler for the great care and companionship they provided him. Safe home and Semper Fi.
