When I visited Cleveland in my 20s, I was struck by how devoted Aunt Renee was to her John. It was so beautiful. She loved him and her boys Ken and Steve so much, kept such a nice house and made dinner a real event! She taught me to make chicken cacciatore in the electric skillet.
When we'd chat on the phone, she'd tell me all about Emily and John - she was so proud of them and loved them dearly. And she would tell me how smart and what a great mom and wife Amy is.
She was a lot of fun at family weddings and parties - dancing, laughing and 'dressed to the 9s' - that's how I'll always remember her! I hope she's dancing + laughing in heaven with her sister, my mom Albina! RIP dear Aunt Renata - I'm so glad I got to know you!
