Richard Anthony Ambrosetti's Obituary
Richard Anthony Ambrosetti, at the age of 80, of Medina OH, passed away at home, surrounded by his loving family, on November 26, 2024. He was born in Cleveland, OH on May 21,1944, to the late Anthony and Pauline Ambrosetti.
Richard is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years and caregiver Sara and three caring children Lisa (Paul) Peer, Dina (Ed) Piatak and Rick (Jen) Ambrosetti: his beloved grandchildren Bryce, Jacob, Bryan, Connor, Dylan, and Becca. He is also survived by his supportive sister Sandra (Bill) Kiehl.
Richard graduated from West Tech High School and joined the Army reserves. After serving in the reserves, he worked at the Steel Mill before taking over the family-owned business, Almira Tavern, running the business for 30 years before retirement. In retirement, Richard became a driver for a wine company and also assisted at Kemper House with transporting the residents on day trips.
A dedicated family man, Richard had a passion for sports, dogs, fishing, slot machines, WWE wrestling. Spending time with the family and going to the beach brought him immense joy throughout his life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
In keeping with Richard’s kind spirit, his life will be honored with a visitation at Sunset Memorial Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070 on Sunday, December 1, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Additional hour of visitation will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. and will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 12700 Pearl Road, Strongsville, Ohio 44136, with entombment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park, Pinewood Garden Mausoleum, North Olmsted, Ohio.
